A printer's grayscale setting converts the entire design, not only the portrait. Colored headings and pale decorations may become unexpectedly similar in tone.
Test the whole layout
Print one complete sheet in grayscale and inspect names, dates, and decorative backgrounds. A readable color preview does not guarantee clear black-and-white separation. Strengthen essential text contrast where the printed proof becomes weak.
Final check
Compare biography text and service headings under ordinary light before choosing grayscale for all copies.
