Funeral Program Photo Caption Examples
InMemoryStudio ·
Captions can preserve the meaning of a photograph when the people or occasion are not obvious. One verified detail is often more moving than a broad statement.
Example wording
A summer afternoon at [Place], [Year]. [Name] doing what they loved: bringing everyone together.
Make it fit your situation
Leave unknown dates out; do not turn a guessed year into a printed fact.
For an uncertain date, use a descriptive caption such as A favorite family afternoon rather than a guessed year. A caption may also identify a place without identifying every person pictured.
Before you finish
A printed program has limited space. Give this message its own short block so it can be read without interrupting the order of service. Read the final version aloud before fitting it into the design.
