What to Leave Out of a Short Funeral Program Biography
InMemoryStudio ·
A short biography cannot hold every address, job title, and milestone. Leave out facts that add length without helping guests understand the person.
Prioritize relationships and recognizable qualities
Keep a few specific experiences, important relationships, and a clear closing remembrance. Remove repeated praise and long chronological transitions first. Do not cut details the family considers essential merely because they seem unfamiliar to others.
Final check
Compare the shortened version with the family's priorities, not with a fixed target word count.
