A biography can close with what the family carries forward rather than repeating the dates from the cover. The ending should follow naturally from the story already told.
Refer back to one real quality
If the paragraph describes patient teaching, close with the lessons the family remembers. If it describes hospitality, close with the welcome they hope to continue. Avoid introducing a new achievement in the final sentence.
Final check
The ending should make sense on its own without becoming a generic quotation unrelated to the person.
