Printing Funeral Programs on Paper That Is Too Thick

InMemoryStudio ·

Heavy stock can feed poorly or produce a rough fold. Paper that feels substantial is not automatically suitable for a home printer's duplex path.

Check printer compatibility before the batch

Use stock within the printer's specified weight range and test both sides. If the crease cracks or the sheet jams, use a lighter suitable paper or a printer equipped for that stock. Do not force incompatible sheets through the feeder.

Final check

Inspect the folded portrait area for cracking before deciding the heavier paper improves the result.
