A public obituary is not a place to explain a family conflict. A neutral list or broad collective phrase may preserve dignity without making false claims.

[Name] is remembered by family, friends, and the people whose lives they touched.
Make it fit your situation
Use language the organizer can stand behind; avoid claiming closeness that was not present.
A neutral tribute can still be personal through a true interest or contribution. Omitting conflict does not require inventing affection, reconciliation, or a relationship that family members would find misleading.

An obituary can be accurate and affectionate without listing every event in a life. Confirm names and practical details with an appropriate family contact. Keep private information out unless the people involved have agreed to its publication.
