Memorial Service With a Shared Reading
InMemoryStudio ·
A shared reading requires text guests can see and a cue telling them when to join. Do not assume everyone knows the words.

Make it fit your situation
Use an original or permitted text and confirm that participation is optional.
Print optional participation explicitly when appropriate. Guests may choose to listen, and the leader should not need to explain why a particular person is not reading aloud.
Before you finish
Treat the outline as a starting point, then confirm it with the people leading the gathering. Timing depends on the speakers, music, and pauses. Print only the sequence guests need; keep production cues in the organizer’s copy.
