A photo shared as a compressed message image may lose detail. The original camera file or a higher-quality attachment is preferable for large printing.
Request a less-compressed copy
Ask for the original file when available and compare its pixel dimensions with the received version. Avoid repeatedly saving and resending the same compressed image while preparing the poster.
Final check
Keep the best source separately so later crops do not become the only remaining copy.
