Printer margins may be a hardware limit or a scale setting. Changing the artwork repeatedly without checking the dialog can make the card size less predictable.
Inspect the file and print settings
Choose the correct paper size and intended scale. Use a suitable print sheet for home cutting where available. For edge-to-edge production, ask a provider about trimming rather than expecting every home printer to print borderless.
Final check
Measure a cut proof to separate margin appearance from actual card-size errors.
