How to Print Two-Sided Memorial Cards
Check duplex direction, scale, alignment, and cut before printing a full batch.

Decide on the finished size first
Our two-sided cards are available in 5 × 7, 2.5 × 3.5, and 2.5 × 4.25-inch sizes. Select the size or sizes you need before downloading. The front and back of one card must use the same finished size.
Use the print-ready PDF for a print run, and check its preview rather than assuming your printer will choose the correct paper and scale. If printing individual cards, select the matching stock. If printing a sheet to cut, check the supplied sheet layout and marks before cutting.
Print one front-and-back test
Print at Actual size or 100% when the printer and paper support the PDF's sheet size. Automatic “Fit” settings can change the finished card dimensions. Fold or cut only the test copy first, then compare its front and back under good light.
- Are both sides upright after the sheet is turned over? If not, change the duplex flip setting.
- Do the fronts and backs line up closely enough for the intended cut? Printer feed tolerances vary.
- Is any name, date, or part of the face too close to the cut edge?
- Is small text readable on the actual paper rather than only on a bright screen?
Print and trim the final batch
Keep the successful paper, scale, and duplex settings for the remaining copies. Cut with a ruler and trimmer if a straight edge matters. When using a local print counter, tell them the chosen finished size, that the card is two-sided, and whether you expect them to trim it. Ask for a proof before a large order.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the back of my card upside down?
Duplex flip direction varies by printer. Change the setting and test one sheet before continuing.
Why are front and back slightly misaligned?
Printer feeding has tolerances. Test the layout and avoid positioning important text at the cut edge.
Should I cut before checking both sides?
No. Print one test, inspect the alignment and orientation, then cut it to verify the finished size.
