Funeral Program Reception Wording

InMemoryStudio ·

Reception wording should answer where guests go next and whether everyone is invited. Warm language is useful, but the address and timing matter more than decoration.

Example wording

Following the service, please join the family for refreshments at [Venue], [Address]. All who have gathered today are welcome.

Make it fit your situation

Use a confirmed venue name and clarify whether the reception starts immediately or at a stated time.

If the venue is different, give it a heading and its own address. For a restricted reception, use separate invitations instead of placing a vague family-only note where all guests will read it.

Before you finish

A printed program has limited space. Give this message its own short block so it can be read without interrupting the order of service. Read the final version aloud before fitting it into the design.
