A new portrait can change the visual balance even when the words are untouched. Text that fitted the previous photo may now cover a face or lose contrast.
Review adjacent text again
Check the name, dates, heading, and captions around the replacement photograph. Inspect every page that uses the image. Do not approve the booklet solely because the new portrait looks good when viewed by itself.
Final check
Export a new proof rather than reusing a PDF made before the photo replacement.
