Readers should be able to distinguish section headings from names, captions, and ordinary paragraphs. Too many equally prominent headings make a small booklet harder to navigate.
Use three levels of emphasis
Make the main page heading strongest, activity names modestly emphasized, and explanatory text quieter. Keep Biography and Order of Service visually consistent. Avoid using decorative lettering for every label.
Final check
Scan the inside spread for a few seconds. Its structure should be apparent before you read the paragraphs.
