Fixing an Upside-Down Back on Memorial Cards
InMemoryStudio ·
An upside-down back usually indicates a mismatch between page orientation and the duplex flip setting. Printer drivers differ, so a one-sheet test is more reliable than a universal setting.
Practical check
Print one sheet marked TOP on each side. Turn it as the finished card will be handled, then compare long-edge and short-edge flipping.
Make it fit your situation
Do not print the full quantity until a folded or cut test confirms the correct orientation.
Changing portrait to landscape can change which duplex option produces the right result. Save the successful setting with the job note, and retest if the export orientation or paper changes.
Before you finish
Use the final exported file for a test print before ordering the full quantity. Printer settings, paper, and trimming can change the result. Ask the print provider about its requirements rather than assuming that every machine behaves the same way.
