Plain wording can express a spouse's remembrance without elaborate metaphors. A short message often fits the card more comfortably than a full letter.
Keep the central feeling
For example: Loved in the life we shared, remembered in every ordinary day. Add a personal signature if desired. Do not use collective family wording when the message is clearly from one partner.
Final check
Read it aloud and remove phrases that sound unlike the person writing the tribute.
