Designing a Public and a Private Memorial Version

InMemoryStudio ·

Two versions can serve different audiences: a public remembrance and a private invitation with logistics. The public piece should not reveal restricted access details.

A workable approach

Public version: name and tribute. Invited-guest version: confirmed venue, timing, and approved contact route.

Make it fit your situation

Keep the versions clearly named so the private file is not uploaded by mistake.

Clearly label files Public and Private in the organizer's folder. Do not depend on the visual design alone to identify which version contains restricted directions or contact details.

Before you finish

Make the decision before editing the final design, then record it where the family can find it. A clear owner and a saved final version reduce last-minute confusion. Keep the working notes separate from the tribute guests will read.
