Designing a Memorial Print for Older Readers

InMemoryStudio ·

Readability depends on more than point size. Contrast, line spacing, paper glare, and paragraph length also matter.

Practical check

Print a sample at its final dimensions. Ask a reader to find the name, date, and service order without zooming or leaning very close.

Make it fit your situation

If content does not fit comfortably, shorten it or choose a larger supported format instead of compressing the type.

There is no universal font size that guarantees readability for every design and reader. Use the final physical sample to evaluate the exact typeface, contrast, spacing, and amount of information.

Before you finish

Use the final exported file for a test print before ordering the full quantity. Printer settings, paper, and trimming can change the result. Ask the print provider about its requirements rather than assuming that every machine behaves the same way.
